Old Watch

My Dad leant me his Uncle's old watch for my brother's wedding, afterward he told me I could keep wearing it. I haven't had an analouge watch before so, and it's so classic in appearence - I find it really cool.

Even better is the tick it has, there's four beats to the second. Occasionally, when I'm thinking, I rest my head on my left hand and I can hear the watch ticking. It's a little bit surprising when I'm thinking about something else: suddenly there's this tick-ticK tick-ticK, and I'm reminded that time is passing...

I feel more connected to time and my own chronology when I'm wearing this watch.
